Alan Nourse Typed Manuscript: Star Surgeon, 204 pages typed. This lot features the work of noted science fiction author Alan Nourse. Nourse wrote many science fiction novels in the 1950s and 1960s, including works such as, The Fourth Horseman and The Bladerunner. The Bladerunner novel lent it's name to the movie starring Harrison Ford, however, no plot or character aspects were the same. That movie was based on the novel Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep, by Philip Dick. The novel featured here, Star Surgeon, was published in 1959, and is still available today. The lot contains a typed manuscript with editor's marks and occasional notes, an illustration order for the book, uncorrected galley proofs, and several pages of notes by the editor.

All sections of the archive are in good condition, with the occasional wear on the edges of pages from age and storage, a paper clip has rusted and stained the first page of the typed manuscript (now removed). Otherwise a fine lot for the science fiction fan!

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
