xvi, 268 pages. Illustrated by George Cruikshank with five small woodcut vignets and "twenty-two full-page curious engravings" (including frontis), each hand-colored. Gilt and black borders to boards. Front board whimsically embellished with morocco inlays after the illustration facing page 252. Raised bands. Gilt and black designs to spine; gilt lettering. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Original cloth covers and spine bound in rear. Bookplate to front pastedown. Glue remant of bookplate to from free endpaper. Minor sunning to spine.
