Cloth spine toned, gilt tarnished; spine edgeworn and chipped; some rubbing, soiling to boards; corners a bit worn; endleaves offset and foxed; recipient's bookplate on front pastedown; text toned with occasional thumbsoiling; overopened in a few places.
