"In the wild world, November is the Mad Moon." - [Ernest Thompson Seton, Rolf in the Woods, Chapter 32].

An incredible association copy of the four volume masterwork by author, wildlife artist, and youth program pioneer Ernest Thompson Seton [1860 - 1946].

The set was inscribed to Julia M. Butree in both 1925 and 1926, several years before Seton's divorce from his first wife, Grace Gallatin, and his own subsequent marriage to Buttree in 1935. In her letters she not only details the sale of this set to Mr. Vette, but also describes how she worked with Mr. Seton on these books for eight years.

"I feel as if I were giving up a piece of my own life, but am glad that these books are going to someone who will truly appreciate them."

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
