Ellery Queen. The Roman Hat Mystery. New York: Frederick A. Stokes, 1929. First edition. Octavo (7.375 x 5 inches; 186 x 125 mm.). [xvii], 325, [1, blank] pages. Publisher's red cloth, spine lettered in black, front board decoratively stamped in black, outlining text; in repaired original dust jacket. Gentle spine lean; backstrip faintly dulled; extremities worn; spine ends just barely faded. Rear hinge only just starting; occasional marginal soiling. Dust jacket folds professionally reinforced, with no attempt at restoration, evidence of tape mends since removed; edges worn with chips at the folds, the 'S' in 'Stokes' just barely affected; spine panel faintly dulled with light crease down the center; occasional minor scuff. Still, a very good copy of a difficult title to find in jacket. The first Ellery Queen mystery. A Haycraft-Queen Cornerstone. With an unjacketed first edition copy. From the KoKo Collection.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
