    Ellery Queen, pseudonym. The Door Between. New York: Frederick A. Stokes Co., 1937. First edition. Signed and inscribed by one of the authors in the year of publication, "Manny," Manfred Lee, who together with Frederic Dannay, wrote as "Ellery Queen." Additionally with a typed letter signed by Lee. Octavo. 318 pages. Publisher's beige cloth stamped in red; original illustrated dust jacket. Ivory endpapers; unevenly toned, minor foxing, typed letter signed mounted to the front pastedown. Internally generally clean and tight, all edges trimmed; gutter overextended at the half-title page, minor intermittent foxing, text block edges toned with minor wear. Dust jacket unclipped ($2.00); minor edgewear, chipping to head and foot of spine and corners with some losses, lightly rubbed, small close tear to the top edge of the back panel, head and foot of spine reinforced with cellotape on verso. Very good book with very good dust jacket.

    [Together with:] Typed letter signed from Manfred Lee to the "Professor," on Lee's letterhead and dated February 23, 1937. Standard letter-size paper. Creased along old folds, mounted to the front pastedown of the book. Near fine or better.
