Frontispiece and eight additional plates by William Oberhardt. Mild discoloration to cloth, particularly at backstrip and board edges. Endpapers and text block softly yellowed with age; bookseller's ticket at rear pastedown; minor soiling to text block edges. Jacket worn and dulled, with larger chip out of foot of front panel and smaller chips at spine and flap fold ends; several tears with associated creasing along edges of front and rear panels; wear along creases, with one split, about two inches long, starting toward foot of rear panel fold. Very good. Housed in custom clamshell. Queen's Quorum 46 ("one of the most daring and imaginative books ever committed to print"); a Haycraft Queen Cornerstone.
