    Edward Ruscha. Every Building on the Sunset Strip. [Los Angeles]: Edward Ruscha, 1966. First edition, first issue (with extra folding flap at the end). Publication alleged to be only 1000 copies. 5.75 inches x 7". Bound accordion-fold black and white photos of Sunset Strip buildings (both sides) and their printed addresses which unfolded measure about 27 feet in length. Original white wrappers with titles lettered in silver on the front wrapper and spine. Accompanied by the rare silver-mylar slipcase, as issued and housed in an attractive clamshell case. Minor discoloration to wrappers; vertical crease on the spine, as usual; slipcase with splits at the edges, else a near fine copy of this superb work. This book exemplifies a new genre of art book created by Ruscha and is mentioned in Andrew Roth's Book of 101 Books: Seminal Photographic Books of the Twentieth Century.
