First edition. Two octavo volumes. , xvi, 358 pages; , vii, [viii], 374 pages. Modern half pebbled leather over marble paper covered boards, gilt titles on spines, all edges speckled. Marbled endpapers. Boards modestly rubbed affecting leather on joints, a bit of wear on edges with abrasions on corners. Text block edges and pages lightly toned, front and rear blanks mildly foxed with occasional foxing here and there; frontispieces somewhat foxed with discoloration on outer margins, both affecting images; ink ownership signatures on upper margins of title pages, offsetting from frontispieces onto title pages. A very good set.
