    Description

    With an Excellent Original Drawing

Edgar Rice Burroughs. The Moon Maid. Chicago: A. C. McClurg & Co., 1926. First edition. Presentation copy, inscribed by Burroughs, with an original drawing, on the front free endpaper: "To / Hulbert Burroughs / future world's / champ; former / International / Polo Prospect / From / His Fond and Foolish / Father / (alias Edgar Rice Burroughs) / Los Angeles / April 22 1926). To the immediate left of this inscription is a wonderful drawing of a golfer standing on the Earth and hitting the Moon to the pin on Mars. Octavo. [viii], 412 pages, frontispiece. Publisher's blue cloth, front board and spine lettered in black, dust jacket. Jacket restored and repaired, some thumbsoiling to jacket, cloth spine sunned to green, some rubbing to binding. There is some scuffing near the word "Polo" on the inscription, with some minor smearing to the word. Spine rolled, with the text block affected. Still, a near fine, restored copy with a superb inscription and drawing. Zeuschner 340.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
