Publisher's red cloth, spine and front stamped in green; all text block edges trimmed; original illustrated jacket, first issue with publisher's name in a black rectangle with corners trimmed at foot of spine panel. Minor shelf wear and soiling at extremities of binding; spine ends crimped; pale soiling at front board and lower end of front joint. Endpapers and text block dulled; crimp and minor rust staining from paperclip to front free endpaper and first leaf of text block. Jacket rubbed and worn, with chipping along top edge and at foot of spine panel; small hole at each flap fold; tidemark at foot of spine panel; paperclip stain at head of front flap; price-clipped.
