Publisher's red cloth, spine and front stamped in green; all text block edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket, later state without black rectangle at foot of spine panel. Spine ends pushed; backstrip dulled; text block edges a bit worn and soiled; pale soiling at front board; corners bumped. Endpapers and text block dulled; mild soiling to edges. Jacket rubbed and foxed, with large chips out of spine ends and foot of front panel, further nicking at flap fold ends, and edge wear resulting in creasing and short tears, some reinforced with paper at recto and verso; panel fold splitting, one reinforced with clear tape at verso. Good book in a fair jacket. Zeuschner, pp. 102-103.
