    Octavo. [2, blank], [viii], [401], [5, blank] pages. Publisher's full red cloth, front cover paneled in blind and lettered in gilt, spine lettered in gilt, with the "Acorn" on the publisher's name. Small tears to spine, some rubbing to binding, front hinge cracking, previous owner's contemporary pencil signature on front free endpaper. Skewed. A good copy, now housed in custom-build quarter burgundy morocco clamshell case.

    As per Zeuchner, the second state of this book is rarer than the first, as the first state was printed in 5,000 copies and the second had only 2,500 copies.
