Edgar Rice Burroughs. Pellucidar. Chicago: A. C. McClurg & Co., 1923. First edition. Inscribed by Forrest J. Ackerman to Jerry Weist on the front free endpaper, "Jerry / Core-dially / Yours / Forry Ackerman." Octavo. [viii], 322, [4, blanks] pages. Four inserted sepia plates illustrated by J. Allen St. John. Publisher's red cloth with black titles. Original pictorial dust jacket. Moderate wear to boards. Four tape stains to boards. Slight fraying at the spine ends and corners. Light thumbsoiling to text. Significant expert restoration to the dust jacket, which has resulted in the dust jacket standing about 4-5 mm higher than the book. An about very good and unique copy of a Burroughs classic. With Ackerman's shelf sticker to the spine of the dust jacket. Zeuschner 388. From the Jerry Weist Collection.
