    Comprehensive county history with titles such as "The Pioneer Settler and Settlements," "Early Taxpayers, Prairie Fires, and Wild Horses," "Secession and War -- Our Contribution of Men -- Its Effects on the Morals of Our People," "Reconstruction and Crime Wave," "The Indian," and "Denton County and the War with Germany." Much on Sam Bass. Numerous photographs of people and places, including the four stunning panoramic photos of each side of the Denton town square.

    Condition: Cloth worn and chipped along extremities, corners bumped. Pencil notation on front endpaper, "W.P. Parkie, Book." In generally very good condition.
