    Third edition, enlarged. Octavo. 1-378 [then] 421-684, appendix 107 pages. Folding frontispiece with the God Neptune and an array of British flags and a folding plate of flags within text.


    Contemporary leather binding with five raised spine bands. Titles stamped in gilt. Leather worn from boards at the corners and edges. Front board nearly detached with additional wear and crazing to the leather of the boards. Spine panel with a crease down the center in addition to wear and flaking. Endpapers and title page detached. Front hinge cracked. Pages toned with some scattered foxing. Binding shaken. Missing pages as noted. Contemporary bookplate on the front pastedown. A rare work on maritime law, worthy of conservation and in good condition.
