Publisher's orangish yellow cloth, spine and front board lettered in black; top edge stained gray; in original dust jacket. Very gentle spine lean; backstrip dulled just a shade; boards very slightly bowed; spine ends and corners lightly worn. Topstain faded with a few trivial scuffs; endpapers discolored from binding glue. Dust jacket edges worn with extensive tape repairs to verso with faint discoloration from tape; closed tear of about 1.75 inches extending from small chip in crown into spine panel; spine panel faintly dulled; front panel rubbed with some minor color loss; light flaking to folds. A near fine copy in an about very good jacket. The fifth Charlie Chan mystery.

Publisher's smooth black cloth, spine and front board lettered in red, front board stamped in red outlining text; top edge stained red, others rough-trimmed; in original dust jacket. Gentle spine lean; front board rubbed; small bump to bottom edge of rear board; bottom corner of rear board softly bumped. Top stain slightly faded. Dust jacket spine ends chipped with old tape repairs, causing some discoloration; front flap fold with two closed tears, one at the upper edge, the other in the interior; diagonal creasing to flap margins; some flaking at folds; spine panel just barely faded; rear panel lightly rubbed with some minor soiling; a couple very small blemishes to front panel; offsetting to verso. A very good copy in an about very good jacket. The sixth and final Charlie Chan mystery. From the KoKo Collection.
