Publisher's bright orange cloth, upper board and spine lettered in black; original illustrated dust jacket with Crime-Book Society's Selection advertisement band. Minor edgewear, foot of spine just pushed, minor soiling. Illustrated endpapers; some offsetting. Internally generally clean and tight, all edges trimmed; minor foxing chiefly contained to margins and edges, text block unevenly toned. Dust jacket with price on spine (7'6 net); minor edgewear, small open tear to the bottom edge of the back panel, somewhat toned and rubbed. Near fine book with near fine dust jacket.
