Cincinnati: J. A. James & Co., 1836. First edition. 12mo. 336pp., [2] pages of publisher's advertisements. One 9" x 13" linen-backed, fold-out hand colored "Map of Texas Containing the Latest Grants & Discoveries" by E. F. Lee. bound in front. Modern three-quarter leather binding and tan cloth boards with titles stamped in gilt between five raised bands on the spine. Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. Light wear to joints, otherwise minimal shelf wear. Contents with light scattered foxing throughout, else remarkably sound. Map unusually nice and complete. All things considered, a fine copy.
