Publisher's light bluish-green cloth, front board ruled in red with mask stamped in dark blue; spine stamped in red and blue, outlining text, and lettered in blue; publisher's device outlined with red stamp on rear board; top edge stained dark red; in original dust jacket (green variant). Cloth dulled at backstrip and board edges; only a hint of a spine lean. Very faint offsetting to endpapers. Dust jacket spine panel dulled; edges lightly worn at spin ends and fold edges; closed tear (just over one inch) at lower edge of front flap; tiny interior hole at rear flap; very minor soiling to verso of spine panel. Near fine. Basis for the hugely successful MGM adaptation starring William Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick and Nora Charles, directed by W. S. Van Dyke. Layman A 6.1.a. From the KoKo Collection.
