    Description

An Excellent Copy of McCarthy's Rare Fourth Novel

Cormac McCarthy. Suttree. New York: Random House, [1979].

First edition. Octavo. [viii], [472] pages.

Publisher's black cloth backstrip over light yellow paper boards, front cover and spine stamped in gilt. In the original dust jacket. Jacket front flap has a very light crease, very minor rubbing to jacket and cloth. Not price-clipped or remaindered, as is often seen. A bright, fine copy, better than usual.

This title, considered by many to be McCarthy's best work, is scarce in the first edition, as it had a very small first printing, and did not sell well initially, hence the very common remainder mark found on most copies. Copies in this condition are even scarcer.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
