    Robert Thornton. Temple of Flora, or Garden of the Botanist, Poet, Painter and Philosopher. London: Thornton, 1812. First quarto edition. Large quarto. Approximately 14.75 x 12 inches. [70] pages. With one page of engraved title (of two), one color frontispiece, one engraved plate (out of two), and twelve (out of twenty-eight) hand-colored plates. Lacking printed title-page and other text leaves. Bound in contemporary full calf, boards paneled in gilt, spine ruled in gilt in compartment, burgundy gilt morocco lettering label. Binding heavily worn and damaged, boards detached, plates and several text leaves loose, one plate ("Tankerville's Limodorum") loose and mounted onto cardboard, with glue residue on margins. Text and plates soiled and worn. Overall, a rough copy, with color still generally good.
