Approximately 11 x 7.75 inches. [4], xx, [283], [1, blank] pages. With twenty double-page fold-out plates in two states (one hand-colored, one uncolored) and with eighteen gravure reproductions (two double-page) inserted throughout. Bound in contemporary three-quarter red levant morocco over marbled boards, spine paneled and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, top edge gilt, marbled endleaves. Original wrappers bound-in. Minor rubbing to binding. Bookplates of André Barrier and Marcelle Léonardon. With an ink inscription on one bookplate, and a few pencil notes throughout. A fine, handsome copy of this beautiful history of moving vehicles. Monod 10834.
