    Chronicon Preciosum: or, an Account of English Money, the Price of Corn and Other Commodities, For the last 600 Years. London: Printed for Charles Harper, 1707. First edition. Small octavo. [xiv], 181 pages, plus Index and 5 pages of ads. Modern half leather over marble paper boards. Occasional foxing and mild dampstaining. A near fine, tight copy. With the octagonal "Museum Britannicum" rubber stamp throughout, indicating that this book once belonged to Sir Hans Sloane (1660-1750) whose entire collection was bequeathed to the state and which became the foundation for the British Museum.

    More Information: Chronicon Preciosum. In a Letter to a Student in the University of Oxford. Small octavo (7.5 x 4.5 inches).  Occasional foxing. Mild dampstaining to some lower margins. A near fine, tight copy. With Sloane's octagonal "Museum Britannicum" rubber stamp throughout; also with "Duplicate B.M. 1818" stamp throughout.
