With chromolithographs after original chromoxylographs. Original pictorial boards. Except for a bit of loss to upper rear board, a very good copy. [and:] Paul Géraldy. Brigitte-Laurence [illustrator]. Clindindin. Paris: Calmann-Levy, 1947. Octavo. With intertextual chromolithographs throughout. Original pictorial wrappers, also printed in color. Some toning to wrappers, head of spine and rear hinge starting, but overall a very good copy. [and:] Cruikshank [illustrator]. Little Red Riding Hood. London: Read & Co., [n.d.]. Octavo. With seven lithographs colored by a contemporary hand. Original pictorial pink wrappers printed in red and blak and highlighted in gilt. Ownership inscription from December 3, 1877 to upper outer corner of front wrapper. Some minor soiling and an old tape repair to outer edge of rear wrapper, else a very good copy of this example from "Read's New Edition of the Fairy Tales" series. [and:] Julius Bähr. Madame de Chatelain [translator]. T. Hosemann [illustrator]. Naughty Boys & Girls. London: Addey & Co., [n.d.]. Stated second edition. Large octavo. 19, [1, ad], [4, ads] pp. With intertextual lithograph illustrations throughout, colored by a contemporary hand. Original pictorial boards printed in red, green, and white, rebacked with a green cloth strip. Binding and endpapers slightly soiled, boards slightly rubbed (especially at corners, with some loss), else a very good copy. [and:] Grandma Easy's Harry Careless, or Going Too Far. Albany [New York]: E.H. Bender, [n.d.]. Tall octavo. With intertextual illustrations, crudely colored by a contemporary, probably juvenile hand. Original pictorial yellow wrappers. Gift inscription in pencil to upper front wrapper. Significant foxing and soiling to wrappers and leaves. Front and rear wrappers hanging on by a thread; the leaves are close to being disbound. A good but well-used copy. [and:] Grandma Easy's Michaelmas Day; or the Poor Fate of Molly Goosey. [Albany, New York]: E.H. Bender, [n.d.]. Tall octavo. With intertextual illustrations, crudely colored by a contemporary, probably juvenile hand. Original pictorial yellow wrappers. Gift inscription in pencil to upper front wrapper.
