[4, blank], xii [xiii-xx], 211 [212-213], [1, blank], [1, limitation], [1, blank] pages; full-page and in-text illustrations by John Tenniel throughout. Publisher's blue morocco, covers ruled and elaborately stamped in gilt, spine in six compartments lettered or stamped in gilt; all edges gilt; in the original red cloth slipcase, spine printed in dark blue. Spine just barely askew; scant trivial wear. Very faint offsetting to endpapers. Slipcase corners a trifle worn. Nearly fine. From the James C. Seacrest Collection.
