    Garth Williams. INITIALED/SIGNED. Original Preliminary Mock-Ups, Thumbnail Spreads, Notes, Clippings Prepared for Chester Cricket's Pigeon Ride, 1981. Two different thumbnail spread mock-ups and notes on in pen and pencil on graph paper, both measuring approximately 6 x 8.25 inches, each folded. Three loose sheets with dimensions, spreads and illustrations on each page in pen and pencil, one on a publisher's photocopied form, ranging in size from 13 x 6.5 to 21.25 x 8.5 inches. One file folder with two excised newsprint sheets, a magazine double-page spread and two receipts. Three cover mock-ups with pasted-on title labels, two of which are signed by Garth Williams, measuring approximately 9.5 x 7.5 inches each. Bock textblock mock-up dummy, measuring approximately 9.25 x 7.25 inches, with calculations and title on cover, forty-six numbered pages, with fourteen recto pages initialed by Williams, pencil preliminary sketches and text blocking throughout, folded and with fabric tape on spine. Some occasional staining, light notations/markings, light folding and toning. Generally near fine. From the Estate of Garth Williams.
