    First edition. Quarto. Unpaginated. Illustrations by the author.

    Pictorial glazed paper boards. Illustrated endpapers. Very minimal rubbing to board edges; rear board has minor bump to bottom edge. Previous owner's name has been neatly inked out on front free endpaper and on half-title page. Tiny spot of discoloration to both first page of story and to last printed page. Price-clipped dust jacket has minor rubbing along edges and folds; light chipping to spine ends, and a short closed tear at bottom edge. Jacket spine is sunned. Overall, this clean and bright squared copy is in near fine condition.

    The following first edition points have been met: "14 books (up to now)" on rear jacket flap, and the list of thirteen books printed at the end of the book. Jacket issue is unknown as price has been clipped.
