    More Information:

Antoine de Saint-Exupery. The Little Prince. New York: Reynal & Hitchcock, [1943]. First edition, translated from the French by Katherine Woods. Octavo. [1-6], 7-91, [1, illustration], [1, note], [1, colophon] pages. Publisher's moderate reddish orange cloth, spine and front board lettered in deep red, front board decoratively stamped in deep red, in original dust jacket. Spine almost imperceptibly cocked with a touch of rubbing at spine ends, corners softly bumped and lightly worn. Thumb soiling to lower-right of half-title page, small soiled speck on lower right of the Fox illustration on page [65] with faint offsetting opposite and light bleed through to verso. Jacket spine panel and margins darkened, edges worn with two larger closed tears, one to the top edge of the front panel near joint, the other to lower edge of rear panel near flap, and several smaller closed tears, occasional small chips, with wear at spine ends and folds. Spine panel creased at lower-half of front fold, light soiling to fore-edge margin of rear panel. Verso of rear panel lightly stained at upper margin, faintly visible on recto, with faint offsetting to front board. A nice copy in an about very good dust jacket.
