    More Information:

Barlow was one of the first great English book illustrators. "...he is the first English artist to understand and practice modern interpretive illustration...He made his most significant personal contribution in so drawing and organizing his characters that they interact in a dynamic, expressive, and appropriate dramatic way that is at the heart of interpretive illustrations. Barlow's Aesop's Fables is one of the chief English illustrated books...that makes him the father of English book illustration" Hodnett, Francis Barlow. The English editions of Barlow's famous Aesop had a polyglot text but Roger used L'Estrange's English text, translated by Roger into French. The verses under the plates for the "Life of Aesop", which was added to Barlow's second edition of 1687 have been removed.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
