Publisher's deluxe binding of full blue limp calf pictorially stamped in gilt within a decorative gilt border on the front cover and pictorially stamped and lettered in gilt within double gilt rules on the spine. All edges gilt. Cover edges slightly rubbed, spine lightly sun-faded, covers a bit scuffed. Text block over-opened in a few places, occasional dust soiling in outer margins, front gathering a bit shaken, half-title slightly toned. In the original dark gray paper-covered cardboard box with white paper labels printed in dark blue on the lid. Box with faint foxing, lightly sunned surfaces, and rubbed edges, as well as provenance notation written in ink of previous ownership on the bottom part of the box. Still, near fine.
