    [Garth Williams]. Several Laura Ingalls Wilder-Related Items, including: Small poster (17 x 11 inches) advertising "Laura Ingalls Wilder's 'The Long Winter' 50th Anniversary Publication Observance" featuring a personal appearance by Garth Williams, presented by the Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Society in De Smet, South Dakota. Pin hole, a couple of instances of white correction fluid or paint, a couple of pencil scribbles, and moisture rippling; sheet has been folded in half then folded in half again. Better than good. [and:] Flyer / merchandise list from the Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Society. Dampstained. Good. [and:] Promotional piece from Harper & Brothers, circa 1943, touting Laura Ingalls Wilder and her books through These Happy Golden Years. Splitting along folds. [and:] Photograph negative in an envelope with notation in Garth Williams' hand: "Photo neg of Wilder Farm Pastel by Almanzo's Aunt." [and:] Newspaper clipping from a Malone, New York newspaper in which Garth Williams asks residents for postcards or photographs of structures that would have been standing at the time of Farmer Boy in order to help with his illustrations. (Farmer Boy is the story of Almanzo Wilder who was raised in Malone). [and:] A 1990 letter to Garth Williams from a woman who tells him that one of the characters he drew in Farmer Boy was a relative of hers. [and:] A 1981 letter to Garth Williams from Laura Ingalls Wilder expert and historian William T. Anderson, accompanied by a promotional sheet on Anderson.
