One of 105 numbered copies signed by the author, this being copy number 39. Large quarto (11.25 x 8.25 inches; 285 x 209 mm.). x, [4], 15-175 pages. Seven mounted color plates, with descriptive tissue guards, and twenty-four black and white drawings. Publisher's parchment backstrip over blue paper boards, green gilt morocco lettering label on spine, pictorial endleaves. Spine toned, label worn with some chipping, boards sunned and foxed, text somewhat toned. A near fine copy of the rarest of the limited editions done by Rackham. This title was not signed by Rackham, as issued. Latimore and Haskell p. 59.
