S. issue, limited to 550 copies, of which this is number 275, and signed by the publisher. Quarto. Thirteen color plates mounted on heavy brown paper, with descriptive tissue guards, and fourteen black and white drawings in the text, with plate facing page 116 mounted upside down. Original deep green buckram backstrip over brilliant yellowish green boards, front board and spine lettered in gilt, illustration of Alice affixed to front board, top edge gilt, fore-edge and tail edge untrimmed. Outer portions of boards lightly sunned, board edges modestly rubbed, lower edges of boards a bit stained. Text block edges marginally toned, bookplate on front paste down, endpapers faintly foxed. Very good.
