First and only edition. Sixteenmo (3.75 x 4.75 inches; 95 x 121 mm). 16 pages. Engraved frontispiece plus five engraved plates attributed to the author's brother Isaac Taylor. Bound in original pink wrappers with engraved design around title on front cover; cover rubbed and worn, spine weak. Internally generally clean and bright, some offsetting from plates, minor foxing, with Justin G. Schiller's custom bookplate designed by Maurice Sendak to verso of front wrapper. Very good.

    A rare copy of this Ann Taylor Gilbert work, which is signed "A" an end of the text.
