Charles Lamb, [Mary Lamb]. John Woodvil. A tragedy...to which are added fragments of Burton... London: Printed by T. Plummer for G. & J. Robinson, 1802. First edition. 12mo. 128 pages. Original paper over boards, backed in blue paper. Boards completely detached but present, lacking backstrip, disbound, dampstained, rubbed and soiled with some losses. Ink ownership to front pastedown, foxed, somewhat soiled, moderate text block edgewear. Housed in custom navy morocco slipcase, spine lettered in gilt with five false raised bands, and blue cloth chemise, bookplate and ink stamp of James Macdonald to verso. Fair.

    [Together with]: [Charles Lamb], W. F. Mylius, pseudonym. The First Book of Poetry. For the use of schools. London: M. J. Godwin, 1811. First edition. 12mo. 176, [4, ads] pages. Full contemporary sheep, later black morocco spine label lettered in gilt with the title misspelled as "The Firt Book of Poetry." Upper board detached but present, lower joint weak but holding, moderate edgewear, rubbed, worn, and darkened, chipping to head and foot of spine with losses. Cream endpapers; unevenly toned, early ink ownership and repair to gutter of front free endpaper recto. Internally generally clean, all edges trimmed; somewhat foxed, text block unevenly toned and with minor wear to edges. Housed in custom brown cloth slipper backed in mottled calf with brown and natural morocco spin labels lettered in gilt, brown cloth chemise, rubbed with some losses. Fair or better.

    [And]: Alfred Tennyson. Enoch Arden. London: Edward Moxon & Co., 1864. First edition. Small octavo. 178, 8 (publisher's ads, dated August 1864) pages. Full chocolate levant morocco, spine lettered in gilt with five raised bands to spine. Minor edgewear, joints starting. Inner dentelles gilt; brown coated endpapers, ink stamp to front free endpaper verso. Internally generally clean and tight, all edges trimmed, minor foxing chiefly contained to edges. Near fine.

    [And]: Joseph Conrad. The Secret Agent. A drama in three acts. London: Privately printed for subscribers, T. Werner Laurie, Ltd., 1923. Limited edition of 1000 copies of which this is number 17, signed by the author to the limitation page. Octavo. 185 pages. Seafoam green paper over boards, backed in Japanese vellum paper, printed paper spine label. Minor edgewear, sunned and unevenly toned. Seafoam endpapers; unevenly toned, remnant of partially removed book ticket to rear pastedown. Internally clean and tight, deckle edges; small slip matching printed paper spine label tipped in at rear blank, text block edges toned with minor wear. Very good or better.
