    Pickwick Papers in Original Parts

Charles Dickens. The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club. With forty-three illustrations, by R. Seymour and Phiz [and R.W. Buss]. London: Chapman and Hall, 1837 [i.e., April 1836-November 1837]. First edition, later issue of parts I-XIV, first issues of parts XV-XIX/XX (except wrappers of XVII), in the original monthly parts, twenty numbers bound in nineteen parts. Octavo. All wrappers for parts I - XIV are later issues (probably August, 1837 or later). Parts I through XV lacking all "Advertisers," ads or slips. Original green printed wrappers designed by Seymour. Most wrappers rebacked or with expert paper repairs to spines. Some light foxing and edge-browning to plates, some minor wear, soiling in text, but overall, a fair set. Housed in custom-built full dark blue, gilt, clamshell case. Gimbel A15. Hatton and Cleaver, pp. 3-88. Part-by-part collation available online. From the collection of Alexander J. Jemal, Jr.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
