Frontispiece, vignette title-page and thirty-eight additional inserted plates. Publisher's original fine diaper-grain olive cloth; front and back in blind; spine stamped in blind and gilt. Soft yellow endpapers. Edges rough-trimmed. Light fading to spine; bumping and mild wear to corners and edges; rubbing and very faint soiling to boards; cracking to inner and outer front hinge, inner rear hinge. Soft dust soiling to top edge of text block. Toning to extreme edges of plates; some offsetting opposite illustrations. Occasional small spots of foxing to interior.
