Twelvemo. [x]([vi-vii] mispaginated ii-iii and [x] mispaginated viii), 377, [378, blank]. Bound without back ads. Ten inserted plates, i.e., not yet with the two later plates. List of Illustrations does not yet appear after Contents.

    Uniformly bound in period-style full modern calf by The Heritage Bindery, with spines decoratively tooled in gilt, and with morocco labels lettered in gilt inside five raised bands. Triple-ruled gilt borders on the boards with circular corner pieces. Gilt floral turn-ins. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Housed together in a tan buckram slipcase. Light rubbing to spines and boards, otherwise, the bindings are in fine condition. Text and plates very clean and bright, with minor edge-browning or offsetting to some plates. Overall, this charming set is in near fine condition. From the Victor Gulotta Collection.
