    First edition in book form. Three octavo volumes in sixes. iv, 306; vi, 306; vi, 426 pages. With numerous illustrations by George Cattermole and Hablot Browne. Decorated cloth with gilt stamped titles and designs to spines. Bindings rubbed, soiled and color faded. Spine ends and corners bumped and chipped. First volume with minor tears in backstrip at spine ends and a stain on the textblock fore-edge. Joints cracked or cracking. Bookseller's pencil notes on first volume's front endpapers and title page. Small bookstore label on rear pastedowns. Pages with edge wear, creases, few small edge tears, light foxing, and occasional minor soiling or stains. Very good.
