Two octavo (7.5 x 5 inches; 190 x 121 mm.) volumes. viii, 422, [1, printer's note: "Printed by William Clowes..."]; viii, 475, [1, printer's note] pages with sixteen-page publisher's catalogs inserted at rear of each volume; intertextual illustrations. Publisher's green cloth, boards ruled in blind, spines lettered in gilt with gilt tooling to spine ends; black coated endpapers. Minor blemish to front board of second volume; only mild edgewear to corners and spine ends. Top edges of text-blocks very lightly soiled. Armorial bookplates. Near fine.
