Frontispiece and seventeen illustrated plates. Frontispiece hand-colored. Embossed brown cloth, rebacked with original spine laid down, gilt title on upper board. Binding rubbed and soiled, loss to original spine, corners bumped, exposing board tips. Front hinge cracked, previous owner's ink name "William J. Paterson / Chicago / Illinois / Feby 27 1866" on front pastedown. Pages lightly cockled, edge wear, few corner bends. Foxing (heavier at times), some soiling, occasional damp stains in margins, few pencil marks. Very good.
