    Description

Bram Stoker. The Mystery of the Sea. New York: Doubleday, Page & Co., 1902.

First edition. With "Published March, 1902" printed on the copyright page. With a very early inscription by the author dated "22.3.02" on the front free endpaper. Octavo. 498 pages.

Original green cloth with titles in gilt and decoration in black. Textblock sound with very little toning. Backstrip sunned to tan, otherwise light shelf wear. A very good copy.

The American edition of this work preceded the English edition by some months. The March dated inscription must surely make the present copy one of the earliest signed examples. From the Robert and Diane Yaspan Collection.
