Description

Bram Stoker. Dracula's Guest and Other Weird Stories. London: George Routledge & Sons, 1914.

    First edition. Twelvemo. 200 pages.

Original red cloth with gilt titles on the spine and decoration and lettering blindstamped on the front board. Though the book is slightly skewed and the hinges cracked, the boards are in remarkable condition. The internal pages exhibit significant foxing most noticeably at the fore-edge. Bookplates. Remarkably the original jacket remains with the book, with some old taped repairs, slight fading to spine, small tears and loss at the edges, very good. The first edition of this work is uncommon, the more so with an original dust jacket. Very good.

A posthumous collection of nine stories including the story Dracula's Guest, a previously unpublished episode from an early draft of Dracula. From the Robert and Diane Yaspan Collection.
