Grosset and Dunlap edition, published prior to the 1931 photoplay edition, likely to coincide with a stage adaption that premiered in New York in 1927. Octavo. [2, half-title leaf], [x], 354, [2, ads] pages. Publisher's orange cloth, spine and front board lettered in black, front board ruled in black, in original dust jacket with Grosset and Dunlap title list printed on the verso. Backstrip very faintly dulled; front board just lightly splayed; spine ends and corners rubbed. Front hinge cracked, but still holding, at title-page; light crease to rear endpaper; page edges lightly soiled. Dust jacket just very lightly worn at folds with a tiny nick to the crown. A very good copy in a stunning, nearly fine dust jacket. From the KoKo Colletion.
