    Zane Grey. Two Copies of Zane Grey The Man and His Work, One in Presentation Binding with a Signed Check Tipped-In, the Other in the Original Trade Wrappers, Inscribed by His Daughter, Betty. New York: Harper & Brothers, 1927. First editions. Two octavo volumes. [viii], 56 pages. With eight pages of illustrations inserted throughout. One copy in publisher's presentation binding (made especially for friends of the author) of full brown leatherette, front cover and spine lettered in gilt (this copy with a signed check by Zane Grey tipped-onto front free endpaper). The other copy in original trade printed staple-bound wraps, inscribed by Betty Zane Grey on the half-title: "1972/To Mr. Brani/from the daughter/of the Author/Betty Zane Grey". Leatherette a bit rubbed, staple binding of wraps a bit damaged. Overall, very good. Housed together in custom-built slipcase.
