Seven books about the celebrated frontiersman, Indian scout and showman are included in this lot, all published during his lifetime. 1) "Story of the Wild West and Camp fire Chats by Buffalo Bill" published in 1888 with beautiful color frontispiece showing "Buffalo Bill to the Rescue" (front cover and some pages loose), 2) W. E. Webb's "Buffalo Land: An Authentic Account of ... a Scientific and Sporting Party in the Wild West" published in 1872, 3) W. Fletcher Johnson's "Life of Sitting Bull and the History of the Indian War of 1890-91" published in 1891 (covers worn and somewhat loose), 4) Helen Cody Wetmore's "Last of the Great Scouts. Life Story of Col. W. F. Cody (Buffalo Bill)" published in 1899 (a fine copy), 5) William F. Cody's "The Adventures of Buffalo Bill" published in 1904 (a very clean copy missing one front end paper). 6) Edwin L. Sabin's "Buffalo Bill and the Overland Trail" published in 1914 (a clean copy with owner's bookplate, and 7) Frank Winch's "Thrilling Lives of Buffalo Bill and Pawnee Bill" published in 1911.
