    Thomas Dawson. Memoirs of St. George the English Patron; and of The Most Noble Order of the Garter. London: Printed for Henry Clements, 1714. Octavo. [18], 336 pages. Title page in red and black, engraved frontispiece on of King George, full page engraving on following page of St. George fighting the dragon, ornamental head- and tail-pieces, and decorated initials. Full modern leather with rules and four blind stamped fleurons surrounding a small lion, five raised spine bands with blind stamped fleurons in compartments, gilt title and date. Bookplate of Anne C. Morrel on front pastedown, pencil notes on front free endpaper, and gilt stamp of "P. Bruno" on the lower leather turn in of the rear board. Light shelf wear to binding, frontispiece with paper loss along its inner margin reattached on a stub, frontispiece and title page with small repaired paper chips along upper borders, small ink stamp "M" on lower right corner of title page previous owner's holograph name near the upper right corner, small paper lift on last page with minor text loss, small edge tears, light browning, foxing, smudges and stains, occasional creases, else in very good condition.
