First edition, limited issue, limited to 140 copies, of which this is number number 135, and signed by the author; the artist, Lionel Edwards; and H. H. Aga Khan. Quarto. xvi, 234, [235, 236] pages. Seven color plates, twelve black and white plates, sixteen photographic illustrations. Original quarter green parchment over light brown buckram, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Boards somewhat rubbed with a few scuffs and red marks, corners bumped, spine moderately sun-faded, joints a bit worn. Text block edges lightly toned, ink inscription on front free endpaper, rear free endpaper has small tear on lower corner, sparse occasional ink annotations in margins. Still, a very good copy.
