    More Information:

Oliver Goldsmith (1730?-74), prolific poet and author, was a close friend of Samuel Johnson and one of the original members of Johnson's Club. He is most famous for having written The Vicar of Wakefield, and, incidently, Goody Two-Shoes.

James Prior (1790?-1869), a navy man and writer of miscellanea, was most famous for his biographies of Burke and Goldsmith. His work in the latter shows much diligence and care, and Prior himself ended up suing John Forster for plagiarism in his own account of Goldsmith's life, and at least accusing Washington Irving of the same. Lowndes 1975. NSTC 2P27076.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
